Larry Faragalli

Chief Executive Officer

Larry Faragalli is Brightly’s Founder and CEO. He’s dedicated to helping clients reach greater heights with thoughtful strategy, compelling design, and cutting-edge technology. For over 20 years, Larry has been a passionate advocate of usable, results-driven solutions for complex business problems—as a designer and technologist working in agencies, corporations, consultancies, and higher education.

Larry is also a committed advocate of the arts and serves on the board of Creative Many Michigan, a nonprofit advocacy organization that cultivates the creative potential of Michigan’s arts and culture.

Duane Tursi

Duane Tursi

President

Duane Tursi is Brightly’s President. He has over 20 years of experience leveraging strategy and technology to solve complex business challenges. Duane is also an innovator of digital disruption drivers across industries and an evangelist of technology’s role in enabling digital transformation. He is especially passionate about strategy, M&A, business development, product development, software design & development, business process optimization, financial management, and IT infrastructure.

Marion Siebert

Marion Siebert

Design Director

Marion Siebert is Brightly’s Design Director. She drives the company’s aesthetic principles, serves as head of production, and plays a key role in project strategy and implementation. A  consummate adventurer and worldwide traveler, Marion is an experienced designer, team leader, and director with top-tier training and education that includes The School of the Art Institute of Chicago; Pondicherry University in Puducherry, India; Kingston University in London; and Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Before co-founding Brightly, Marion put her leadership and design skills to use in both higher education and the private sector. She has also served on the faculty at Grand Valley State University.

Simon Weallans

Simon Weallans

Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Simon Weallans believes that the customer always comes first, and that’s exactly why he’s Brightly’s VP of Sales and Marketing. With over two decades of experience in international sales and program management, he is a master problem-solver and understands what it takes to meet the customer’s needs. Born in England and having lived in the United States for over half his life, Simon’s international sales experience is also a nod to his personal background. His previous experience in the auto industry and advanced technologies like augmented reality, coupled with his knowledge of manufacturing, provides a unique insight into how systems can be applied effectively for process optimization.

Traveling with family tops the list of Simon’s favorite pastimes.

Brian Anderson

Brian Anderson

Executive Vice President of Technology

Brian Anderson is a startup guru and innovation consultant. As a co-founder of Brightly’s Technology Division, he oversees the agency’s technology services and specializes in strategic innovation and custom software development of complex B2C and B2B systems including web, mobile, systems integration, databases, and cloud environments. An inherent problem solver, Brian has spent the past two decades improving, growing, and building businesses all the way from the Midwest to the West Coast.

When Brian is not busy living and breathing startup culture, he likes to spend his time crisscrossing the continent with his family, playing soccer, wake surfing, and skiing.

 

Marty Balkema

Marty Balkema

Vice President of Technology

Marty Balkema is a co-founder of Brightly’s Technology Division and leads the technical delivery team at the agency. From overseeing technical solutions sales to directing support teams after each delivery, he’s involved in every link of the project and customer success chain. Marty first earned his chops in the tech world back in 1995 when he started working as a programmer. Since then, he’s held a number of executive-level development positions at industry-leading companies.

During his downtime, Marty is an avid sailor and golfer, and enjoys traveling with his wife and children. Although they travel far and wide, he and his family can often be found in the Carolinas or the Virgin Islands.
